U2 - Kite

Artist: U2
Song: Kite
Album: All That You Can't Leave Behind
Year: 2001

"Who's to say where the wind will take you, who's to say what it is will break you, I don't know which way the wind will blow, who's to know when the time has come around, don't wanna see you cry, I know that this is not goodbye..."

"I wonder what's gonna happen to you , you wonder what has happened to me..."

"Did I waste it? Not so much I couldn't taste it, life should be fragrant, roof top to the basement, the last of the rock stars, then hip hop drove the big cars, in the time when new media was the big idea, that was the big idea..."

*A COMMENT:
This song is about letting go, I think mainly let go of someone, whoever it is, but I also think it could be letting go of a situation, a mindset, etcetera. I especially like the chorus, it makes reference to fate and to the unknown, you can make plans ans stuff, but no one really knows what is going to happen, I've always thought that you could stay home to avoid a possible harm that is 'waiting' for you outside but who's to know if you will choke while eating a peanut, right there, in the comfort of home... You should not be dumb either, if you know, in advance, that something is not a good idea and you go and do otherwise, then you are a bit dumb (not to be confused with stubbornness)...

And finally, how time flies! It goes by so fast, you don't even notice, it is December already! Dang!
