The Shins - No Way Down

Artist: The Shins
Song: No Way Down
Album: Port of Morrow
Year: 2012

"Dig yourself a beautiful grave, everything you could want, maybe those invisible slaves are too far away for a ghost to haunt..."

"Make me a drink strong enough to wash away this dishwater world they said was lemonade, walk with me after the show maybe we can find a way through the minefield in the snow..."

*A COMMENT: If you're happy and you know it clap your hands! *Clap *clap! Oh hell yes! I'm happy, I know it (and I know why), hence, I will clap my fucking hands! Anyway I wanted to post a song which matches my mood, so here is this one with its respective interpretation... At first I thought it was an apology for global warming (because of the closing phrase) but after a bigger thought I came to the conclusion it had something to do, but it had a broader approach. It touches capitalism, it touches western culture, it touches disparity. Have you heard of the 1%? The 'Occupy Wall Street movement' and stuff? Well, here is a born-rich guy wondering stuff, on how they (the 1% and the 99%, or at least the complainers) could reach an agreement that works out for both parties...
