The Vaccines - All In White

Artist: The Vaccines
Song: All In White
Album: What Did You Expect From The Vaccines
Year: 2011

"Break me on the thirty-seventh hour, tout me, doubt me, show me all of your power, I will watch you rise on my back from the ground, friend or foe? I don't know, do you like what you've found?"

*A COMMENT: I don't really know what to comment because I don't quite grasp the meaning but my two cents are that is about the way we fantasize with someone we like, but the ignorance and the uncertainty make us go both ways, ideal and worst scenarios. And while we build castles in the air with the worst one, we tend to punish ourselves.

Odd video, though.

The Vaccines - A Lack of Understanding

Artist: The Vaccines
Song: A Lack of Understanding
Album: What Did You Expect From The Vaccines
Year: 2011

"It's only been a year but it feels like a lifetime here, how's it been for you? Does it feel like a lifetime too? What would you do now in light of it all? I don't regret it in spite of it all, if I can't convince you then nobody can I guess..."

"I've got too much time on my hands but you don't understand or you won't understand..."

*A COMMENT: A bit less in fact, but almost a year. Anyhow I was checking some photos and I began thinking 'How in the fucking hell?' 'Seriously?' 'No fucking way', and all kind of  disbelieving questions and expressions. Then a memory of a wasted chance came to mind, the time I could have kissed her, but I was too dumb and I didn't, seriously it was such a no-brainer. Why that memory? I don't know, but it constantly haunts me. In my defense, if there's any, I was hiding a lie, protecting the plot. Yes that must have been it.
But let's not digress. The main topic here is how the hell she ended up with the guy she ended up with...  Bah!

The Vaccines - Somebody Else's Child

Artist: The Vaccines
Song: Somebody Else's Child
Album: What Did You Expect From The Vaccines
Year: 2011

"I'm alright, why'd you ask? I'm uptight, I guess, let it pass, I've never had much in common with you..."

*A QUICK "CONCERN": I have never quite understood the reason of placing the hidden songs along with the 'shown' final song (or any other song for that matter) on the same track. Why splicing songs? What if I want to listen to the second one? I will have to listen to the first one and then listen to the silence for a minute or so or to keep on pressing the forward button until I reach the song... When I record an album I will place the hidden song, if any, on a separate track...
