Everyday there is a song that goes with us wherever we go, or a song that would fit perfectly in any given situation of our life, or a song that you just haven't heard yet, but you are eager to discover... Whatever the case may be, this will be a space dedicated to show anyone who runs into this blog, the song that was stuck in my head any given day, the song I would listen to if..., or just to give a simple recommendation of what I think is a worth-listening song...

Led Zeppelin - The Rain Song
- I kinda "stole" this CD from my dad. He had this kept in a drawer and one day I was digging the stuff he kept in that cabinet, which was located in the dining room... Anyway, when I saw this I had probably only heard one or two Led Zeppelin songs and I said "oh cool" but to be honest I didn't pay much attention to it at the moment, I was still an ignorant brat, but one day I asked my dad if I could borrow it, so I grabbed the CD and another day I put it on the car stereo while I was waiting for my mom to get off work and I was blown away by it so I decided that the CD was mine from that moment on.
- This song is somehow the result of a George Harrison's comment, when he told John Bonham that the "problem" with Led Zeppelin is that the did not do any ballads.

Delays - Long Time Coming/You and Me
“How can you grow old you were my triumph?”
*A REMARK AND QUOTE: You have got to thank my indecision today because now you’ll get to listen two songs.
The first one is about, and I’m quoting the author of the song here, “watching people you love losing their innocence and naivety that you shared when you were younger and fallen into the kind of adulthood you swore you never would, and wishing you could've done something about it. It's a loss of innocence and also of spontaneity and people becoming really guarded and jaded. Friends stuck in jobs you know they don't wanna do, living in houses they don't wanna live in…”
Artist: Delays
“To the bitter end I have fought alone, now this cavalry is coming home…”
“And we can lay low tonight and we can set the flag alight, we're clawing back the time when youth was on our side, you and me could've been fine... you and me were gonna be fine…”
*ANOTHER REMARK, NO QUOTE: I’m not quite sure what this is about… the most likely thing is that it is about this couple that like each other and at some point of the relationship (if there ever was one) they got apart from each other for a long period of time and now time has passed and somehow they are reunited again, I guess that if something's meant to be will occur no matter what...

Broken Bells - Vaporize
“What amounts to a dream anymore? A crude device; a veil on our eyes. A simple plan we'd be different from the rest and never resign to a typical life…”
*A STATEMENT: Whoa with these lyrics, whoa! To me is about having dreams and being confused about what we should do with our lives, either follow them, although they may seem unrealistic, or fall into a regular and typical life. This song could be seen through the perspective of someone who waited around so long and didn't even try to follow those dreams, now time has passed him by, so when he realizes that, apparently it is too late for him to fulfill them now. The last verse is pure gold; it summarizes the uncertainty when it comes to deciding, especially a life decision, I think somehow it refers to all the different aspects that play such an important role in the decision-making process, all the little/major factors that are swirling in our head, some are so big that scare and paralyze us and keep us from taking action towards the completion of that dream.
I guess the “comforting” (yeah, right! ¬¬) thing to be said here is that if you try and you fail, you can always go back and live the typical and regular life you were trying to avoid in the first place, but at least you won’t get to say you didn't give it a shot. But then again, the implications are so big… well I guess I shouldn’t take too much time figuring myself out…

*A MENTION: Another band and song I heard through 'Chuck'! Yay! As for the meaning of the song I think it is pretty obvious so I won't even try to explain it, the only thing you have to do is listen to the lyrics.
Its upbeat vibe makes it an excellent choice for a week starter, so enjoy it and have a nice week!!
