Editors - Push Your Head Towards the Air

Artist: Editors
Song: Push Your Head Towards the Air
Album: An End Has A Start
Year: 2007

"Now, don't drown in your tears, babe, push your head toward the air, now, don't drown in your tears, babe, I will always be there..."

"When you fall and you can't find your way, push your hand up to the sky, I will run just to to be by your side, don't you ever bat an eye..."

*A COMMENT: I've always found this CD to be a very apocalyptic one, or at least that's how I imagine it in my head... Again, in my head I feel it sets us in this scenario where something happens, a catastrophe, whether natural, biological or ideological, that changes the course of how life is seen on Earth. And now there is this primitive chaos among people because nobody quite knows how to manage the change, and the protagonists (I think a couple) suddenly have to flee and find a way to learn how to truly rely on each other in order to survive in this new world, with a different set of rules and in the process they have this imposed need to deal with death (as it is what prevails now), get along with it, cope with it, simplify things about it, knowingly that they could be next in line...

In this song, one is telling the other what should be done in case he/she dies...
