Bon Iver - Calgary

Artist: Bon Iver
Song: Calgary
Album: Bon Iver
Year: 2011

"Hip, under nothing, propped up by your other one, face 'way from the sun, just have to keep a dialogue, teach our bodies: haunt the cause. I was only trying to spell a loss..."

*A COMMENT: Here's Bon Iver's new single, from his eponymous album. The meanings of Bon Iver's songs always "trouble" me as he uses so many metaphors, so in a way you can interpret them the way you feel it, but of course there's always like a "defined" path to follow. From this song, which somehow reminds to Sting's 'Fields of Gold', I can take that it is about some couple, but the lady ran out of love or interest, but they remain together. As for the guy, he's always longing for her to love him, but he knows his role, and event though it seems twisted, they know they are together in this, so they just continue the "charade" but in an amicable way, where there's actually affection but nothing more than that, a big affection, but no love...

And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
