Placebo - Follow The Cops Back Home

Artist: Placebo
Song: Follow the Cops Back Home
Album: Meds
Year: 2006

"The call to arms was never true, let's take a ride and push it through suspended animation glue, blame it on apartheid. Let's spend the night in Jimmy Choo's, I'll give you coats and cheap shampoo, I'll give u nothing else to do..."

"The call to arms was never true, I'm medicated how are you? Let's take a dive swim right through sophisticated points of view..."

*A QUICK FACT: This song was written out of a trip Brian Molko took to Iceland, he was impressed by the extreme low rate of criminality there, along with the fact there's not much to do there, according to him. So, taking into account the previous facts, I think this song is written from the point of view of some guy who lives there and he's so bored with the lifestyle and his environment, and in order to give some excitement to it, he's telling his criminal plans to someone, again all with the sole purpose of spicing up his life.

And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
