Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla

Artist: Sigur Rós
Song: Hoppípolla
Album: Takk
Year: 2005

"Brosandi /Smiling
Hendumst í hringi / Spinning round and round
Höldumst í hendur / Holding hands
Allur heimurinn óskýr / The whole world is a blur
nema þú stendur / Except when you are standing..."

"Hoppípolla /Jump into puddles
Í engum stígvélum /With no boots on..."

"Og ég fæ blóðnasir / And I get a nosebleed
En ég stend alltaf upp / But I'll always stand up..."

*A COMMENT: Hands down, this has got to be one of the most beautiful song I have ever heard, and even though it is sung in a language I don't know (Icelandic), the music alone suffices to make it a gorgeous song... And then, when I looked for a translation I just confirmed what the music had already indicated... The lyrics are about childhood and the innocence of that stage of life... And the video, just awesome, very consistent with the lyrics, so damn beautiful, I swear I had shed a tear once or twice when watching it. The message I infer is to never let the inner child that lives within us fade away, no matter how old our body says we are, you should stay young in your heart and in your mind.

And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
