Artist: Arcade Fire
Song: The Suburbs
Album: The Suburbs
Year: 2010
"In the suburbs I, I learned to drive and you told me we'd never survive, grab your mother's keys we're leaving..."
"Sometimes I can't believe it, I'm moving past the feeling... Sometimes I can't believe it, I'm moving past the feeling again..."
*A SUNDAY COMMENT: I don't quite know the meaning of the song, but here's my interpretation... You grew up in the suburbs, you spent you childhood and adolescence days there, and while you are there you think you are tough and stuff, but the suburbs are like a bubble of comfort and as you get older you find out two things, first, that bubble begins to burst and you begin to notice things are not always going to be like the life you led in the suburbs, all the more, thing are more difficult and there is a process you have to go through... Second, you were also growing a bit tired and bored of that life, so in a way those reasons complement each other, but then, as you look back you kind of miss that care-free life...
And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
