Michael Andrews - Mad World feat. Gary Jules

Artist: Michael Andrews
Song: Mad World
Album: Donnie Darko Soundtrack
Year: 2002

"All around me are familiar faces worn out places, worn out faces, bright and early for their daily races going nowhere, going nowhere..."

"And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had, I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take when people run in circles, it's a very, very mad world..."

*A COMMENT: Just in case you didn't know, this is originally from 'Tears for Fears'. This cover is a much slower version, which gives, in my opinion, a more appropriate mood to the lyrics, which are kind of depressing. I don't know, I kind of imagine a really sad toddler which is distressed with the idea of being surrounded by people, maybe he is an introvert and is kind of scared, but as he grows up, to the point were he is a teenager, he realizes that the world is really crappy, and in a way that makes him feel at ease, as that justifies, to a certain extent, his apathy towards it... HAVE A GREAT START TO THE WEEK, I just hope your daily race is truly going somewhere...
