Artist: Foals
Song: Late Night
Album: Holy Fire
Year: 2013
"Oh, I hoped that you were somebody, someone I could count to pull me to my feet again when I was in doubt..."
"And I know the place but not the wave, I feel, I feel no shame, oh now Mama, do you hear my fear? It's coming after me! Calling out your name! Calling out your name!"
*A COMMENT: I just can't get enough of this song, it's been on my playlist of one song for the whole week. The build up is just killer, it's like this rush flowing through your body, you get the chills and your nipples end up poking a hole in your shirt. Just one "complaint", the solo, they could have gotten more out of it, but I guess it suffices.
My interpretation, right off the bat, is that something is haunting you, but then you find this shelter in someone and suddenly what haunted you is gone, but the sole thought of that someone leaving is terrifying, creating some kind of dependency.
And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
