Artist: Oasis
Song: Hello
Album: (What's the Story?) Morning Glory
Year: 1995
"I don't feel as if I know you, you take up all my time, the days are long and the night will throw you away..."
"We live in the shadows and we had the chance and threw it away. And it's never gonna be the same 'cos the years are following by like the rain. And it's never gonna be the same, 'til the life I knew comes to my house and says: Hello."
"Hello! Hello! Hello! Hello! It's good to be back..."
*FINALLY, A COMMENT: This post should be special for 2 reasons. The first one, the lack of comments lately and this is the first time I'll be repeating an artist.
So...this week was good, I had time to think about stuff, realize about some other stuff and reaffirm more stuff. So here is my list about all that stuff:
- Assuming could be the coldest and hardest bitch you have ever known or the luckiest strike ever. I know it sounds kind of obvious but it is true, the thing here is that we don't get to know that until we see the results. The less we assume things the better, we should always try to have as much information as possible in order to know what is going on and to make clever decisions, but when we are not in control of stuff, when people don't communicate properly, etc, etc, etc, you end up with this lack of information, and when that happens the only thing left to do is assuming and guess what... Shit could happen, especially when you mix emotions in your assumptions.
- There's a little habit I have that does not take more than 2 seconds of my time and trust me on this, it won't kill you... By all means, when the bathroom door is closed, please, please, PLEASE! Knock the damn door!!! Whether you are in the comfort of your house or somewhere else, making sure there's no one inside does not take more that a little tap on the door and it could save the user and the soon-to-be-user an awkward moment. Think about it, you could make yourself and someone else very happy by doing this. And as I like to see both sides of the coin... If you are inside the bathroom, lock the door, that way the distracted ones on the outside won't enter abruptly, but what would happen in the remote case you fall and hit your head? xD
- I'm not quite sure about this one but here it goes... Either my hobbies are strange or I'm a boring person... or both O_O, or simply people don't get me. I'm saying this because I got this impression 2 days ago when I was entering, what probably has to be one of my favorite places on Earth, a record store, and if I could see the expression on my face I'm sure I would see it lighting up with a big smile. Anyway, my cousin and my dad came with me and as I was happily taking my time, going through the racks of CD's, they were just wandering through the store like saying "come on, finish already", I did not pay much attention and kept on doing my business. Later that evening I was talking to my cousin about my hobbies and that kind of stuff and she told me that she did not have any clear and specific hobby, she likes to dance and similar activities but she does not do them so often and that's when I came to the simple conclusion that I least I have hobbies that I practice often and that it was not that I'm a boring person (although maybe I am, you'll be the judge), but everyone has their own hobbies and it is a matter of taste. I would be bored too if I was stuck on somebody else's hobby and I was not fond of it, but on the other hand, it was not like they went with me every single time I go to the record store, so I guess they should have put up with that...
- The importance of hugging something while sleeping, in my case a pillow.
- Words, words, words... So easy to say them, so hard to keep them. If you say you are going to do something, you might as well do it, because if you don't then you are just a filthy liar. You can always keep your mouth shut too, it is preferable.
- This has something to do with the latter. When people lie about stuff, they say it is to prevent hurting someone's feelings. In the end, lies hurt but so does the truth, I guess we would save ourselves so much time and some peace of mind if we told things straight.
- A word to the wise is sufficient and sometimes less is more.
And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
