The Church - Under The Milky Way

Artist: The Church
Song: Under The Milky Way
Album: Starfish
Year: 1988

"Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty, sound of their breath fades with the light. I think about the loveless fascination, under the Milky Way tonight..."

"Wish I knew what you were looking for, might have known what you would find..."

*A COMMENT: I'm not sure what this song is about... My very own interpretation of it is that it is about feeling kind of "lost" and you are right in the process of finding yourself, your place in the world and all the mix of feelings it implies. Of course this search is within you and things at your reach, but I think it is also in terms of others, because once you have found yourself, once you are at ease with yourself, you are able to be at ease with everyone else, and maybe that's what the chorus is talking about, I don't really know for sure... Anyway it is a beautiful song, enjoy...

P.S. Here's a phrase from J.R.R. Tolkien that I think may fit somehow... "All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost..."

And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
