Song: Chocolate

"I'm sitting in the clouds today, I hope to God it doesn't rain. Everyone's got problems and I know I've got mine, but at least I've got the stars with me..."
"Can I have your attention please? We're like chocolate in the sun. And in this heat we're melting into everyone..."
*A SERIOUS COMMENT: I feel a bit disgruntled, but not in the angry way, more like in the confused way. I'm not getting into much detail about the topic, but you'll get a pretty good hint by this song's lyrics. Anyway, I think that since I started this blog I have found a way to vent, by writing and of course the songs, which make all the writing flow. Maybe I have found a way of saying things and maybe someday I'll learn to 'plain-talk', to speak without many detours and without rambling, and I think that is a part of the issue that has me confused, I think too much, when sometimes I just want to tell stuff to the face without caring about the consequences, because in the end what's the worst that could happen? Feeling as confused as I do now? Yes, but at least I would have some "closure" or some kind of resolution. Feeling shitty? Yes, but in control, knowing what ground I am standing on, without any doubts. I don't know, I guess I need to mull it over (but not too much) and somehow I can sense it, resolution, for better or for worse, is very close. But for today, I'll be sitting in the clouds.

Song: Simple Day
Album: One Eskimo
Year: 2009
"Let me tell you about a simple day: In my own way I woke up at six today, put on the coffee machine. I always dreamed of being a millionaire, not a care in the world because I'm losing my hair. Dressing up like the model in the shop window, but now I know I've got it wrong and it don't go. You get to what you find, your boss is in the mood, man, what makes him think that he can be so rude. Forgot to wash your face and your head aches too. People are staring as they pass you by, let it go, don't show that you're a single man and not a day goes by without a porno mag..."
*A SHORTER COMMENT: That was a big quote, wasn't it? But I really liked that chunk of lyrics... Just a song that reminds me of simpler times and basically, as the title says, of a simple day! Enjoy!
And remember... If you liked it, buy it...
